2/25/10 - Seany Records announces a strategic partnership with Brent Harvey and KBH Entertainment. Mr. Harvey will be representing Seany recording artist Or, the Whale in all its movie, television, and advertising music placements. Mr. Harvey is also the founder of the Hollywood Music in Media Awards and its sister company, Music In Media Interactive Conference (MIMIcon).

2/11/10 - Seany Records today announces that the company will be well-represented at this year's SXSW Music Festival, which will be held in Austin, Texas, March 17th through March 21st. Seany Records recording artist Or, the Whale will be appearing at this year's festival.

1/04/10 - Seany Records kicks off the new year with the first official single release from the critically-acclaimed Or, the Whale self-titled album. The song "Datura" was delivered this morning to radio stations across the country.

12/15/09 - Seany Records is proud to announce that RADD (www.radd.org) has chosen Or, the Whale to be the featured band in its inaugural free download to participants who register for use of the RADD/MYSAFERIDEHOME rewards card. Or, the Whale will be contributing their song "Call and Response" as the program gets underway in Calgary on Valentines Day 2010. Or, the Whale is in good company as past participants in various RADD programs include Paul McCartney, R.E.M. and Aerosmith among many others.

11/17/09 - Seany Records will be in Hollywood on November 19th for the 2010 Hollywood Music In Media Awards in support of Or, the Whale's nomination for the song "Datura" from its new self- titled album. The ceremony will be broadcast to 17 countries around the world.

10/12/09 - Seany Records was out in full force last night in support of The Seany Foundation's "Everything is Possible Celebration '09", which was held at the San Diego Hall of Champions. All proceeds benefit the foundation's projects, which include the Teen Center in the new oncology wing at Rady Children's Hospital and pediatric cancer research at UCSD Moores Cancer Center.

9/14/09 - Seany Records is proud to announce that tomorrow it will be releasing Or, the Whale's new self-titled second album (available on CD, LP, and digitally) via Burnside Distribution. The album is already receiving airplay all across the country. The band's upcoming 33-date concert tour includes performances at the Chicago Country Music Festival, a Mountain Stage performance in West Virginia (broadcast worldwide by NPR Radio and The Voice of America Satellite Services), and a Paste Magazine in-studio performance.

9/05/08 - Seany Records is pleased to announce that today they have entered into a national distribution deal with Burnside Distribution. The first Seany Records release through Burnside will be the January 20th 2009 release of Or, the Whale's "Light Poles and Pines".

9/02/08 - Seany Records is proud to announce today that they have entered into a strategic sponsorship agreement with the Hollywood Music Awards. The agreement centers around a very special award that will be presented at the ceremony which takes place on November 20th at The Hollywood Highlands in the world famous Kodak Theater Complex in Hollywood California. This award is called The Seany Robins Rock Artist of the Year Award and is named after Sean Lewis Robins, for whom The Seany Foundation was created. The Seany Foundation, a non-profit organization headquartered in San Diego, is dedicated to finding a cure for pediatric cancers that challenge thousands of children a year. Created in 2006, The Seany Foundation was inspired by Sean, a courageous teen who battled Ewing's sarcoma (ES), a rare bone cancer, for seven years. By funding vital research and helping children thrive and survive the demands of cancer, The Seany Foundation will be a part of the cur e for pediatric cancer, a leading cause of death in children.
